Why Be A Blood Donor?
When you donate blood, you become someone’s hero. You could become the hero to a premature baby, an accident victim, a cancer patient, or someone undergoing emergency surgery.
What other charity can you give to where you know that 100% of your donation is being put to good use? Giving blood is one of the greatest acts of charity because you are giving away a part of yourself to help someone you don’t even know.
Who Receives My Donation?
Did you know that a cancer patient going through chemotherapy needs approximately 6-8 units of blood daily for 2-4 weeks? Think about your friends or family that have battled cancer. Without blood donors, their time would be cut short and their battle could be lost.
Did you know that an adult undergoing open-heart surgery requires up to 10 units of blood? Most of us know someone who has undergone some form of major surgery. Imagine if there was not donated blood on hand to get them through?
When you donate blood, you can rest assured that your sacrifice is giving another person in our community the gift of life.
How Do I Help?
Please sign up to donate by going to the following link: http://www.redcrossblood.org/make-donation, enter “Surterre Properties DP” as the sponsor code to select an appointment. Please spread the word and send this out to your clients, friends, and family!

When/ How to Sign Up: There are time slots available all throughout the day. Go to http://www.redcrossblood.org/make-donation, enter “Surterre Properties DP” as the sponsor code. There you can pick a time slot that works with your schedule.
