A licensed agent in both Colorado and California, Susan Carlin of JoJo Romeo & Associates has been helping family and friends locate real estate opportunities for 30 years. Raised in Boulder, Colorado, Susan moved to California in eighth grade, where she attended Fountain Valley High School for her high school years and graduated with honors. As a child, Susan couldn’t wait to get the Sunday paper so she could look through all the properties; clearly, real estate has been in her blood since the beginning.
Boasting a 100% track record of getting buyers into their first-choice homes, Susan relies heavily on her intuition when negotiating transactions—a strategy that has served her and her clients extremely well. Whether she is dealing with investors, buyers, or sellers, one of Susan’s favorite parts of the job is watching her clients’ faces light up when she makes their dreams a reality. Her genuine passion for Orange County and everything it has to offer—the ocean, the culture, the fashion, the diversity, the fantastic weather—as well as her personalized, tailored approach to each client is the key to her success and sets her apart from others in the industry. “People remind me of snowflakes,” she says. “I have yet to have two transactions that are the same.”
Susan is also a huge advocate of giving back to the community she loves. She volunteers for Katarina’s Club, a nonprofit that feeds kids in need, and has participated in walks for OCD awareness and suicide prevention. Ending teen suicide is Susan’s passion; she is writing a book on the topic called The Knot and spearheads a social media campaign called #iamhope to support and uplift youth struggling with suicidal thoughts.
When she isn’t working, Susan loves to spend time with her family, meditate (especially at the beach), walk her dogs, read, swim, dance, and laugh with her friends.
