Celebrate the autumn harvest season in Newport Beach at The Resort at Pelican Hill’s sixth annual Festa dell’Autunno on October 7-8. With an abundance of food, wine, music, art and entertainment, this family-friendly event offers a true taste of Italy this autumn season. Additionally, for the first time, the Italian Street Festa will feature Carnevale dei Bambini, an al fresco children’s festival located next to the main event.
On Saturday, Oct. 8 from 2 to 8 p.m., attendees can experience Italian food and wine, live music and dancing, traditional art, a Mercato, Motori Italiani auto exhibits, bocce ball, and traditional flag performances along the olive tree-lined Bungalow lanes (cost is $150 per adult). While parents are enjoying the sights and sounds of the Italian Street Festa, children can partake in games, crafts and activities, and a special children’s menu—all under the supervision of Carnevale dei Bambini chaperones—at the al fresco children’s carnival on the Bungalow Lawn near Via Capri. Kids can also participate in traditional Italian dancing, Venetian mask decorating, flag waving lessons and more (cost is $100 per child, ages 4-12).
An Under the California Sun Jazz Brunch on Sunday, Oct. 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p..m. allows revelers to indulge in endless Prosecco mimosas and stunning ocean views at this festive al fresco jazz brunch. Cost is $125 per adult, $50 per child, ages 4-12. Also, on Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8 from 6 to 10 p.m., Andrea Chef Marco Criscuolo and a guest chef to be announced will present Menu a Quattro Mani, which translates to “the menu by four hands” at acclaimed Andrea Ristorante. The autumn-inspired multi-course dinner with fine Italian wine pairings is guaranteed to please any gourmand’s palate.
A Festa Weekend Bungalow package is also available on Saturday, Oct. 8 and includes a Bungalow stay along Via Capri, two adult tickets to Saturday’s Italian Street Festa and two adult tickets to Sunday’s Under the California Jazz Brunch (starting at $975 per night).
