Beachfront Cinema at Huntington State Beach

Take your moviegoing to the beach this summer with Beachfront Cinema, a premier outdoor movie experience that shows films on one of the largest inflatable movie screens in California. In a reserved area, along with theater-quality projection and sound, film buffs will be treated to the ultimate viewing experience directly on the sand at Huntington State Beach.

In addition to the movie screening, pre-movie festivities are also offered, including live bands, contests, games, and more. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a gorgeous Surf City sunset, too. Beachfront Cinema features plush, jumbo-sized beanbags, and snacks and refreshments are available for purchase from food vendors and the beach bar. Pre-movie activities begin at 5 p.m. and showtime starts at approximately 8 p.m. (dusk).

With a successful launch at Huntington State Beach in 2015, Beachfront Cinema has a full series scheduled this year through October. Presenting a variety of different movie genres ranging from Hollywood blockbusters to family favorites to cult classics, this unique viewing experience offers something for every film fan. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark played this past weekend, and upcoming flicks include Bridesmaids on August 6, Jaws on August 27, The Avengers: Age of Ultron on September 3, and The Wizard of Oz on September 4.

A General Admission Pass is $15 per person (Children 3 and under are free with paid adult), and a VIP Package is available for $49 (includes 2 Premium VIP tickets in reserved front area and one plush, jumbo 2-person beanbag).
