When you donate blood, you become someone’s hero.
You could become the hero to a premature baby, an accident victim, a cancer patient, or someone undergoing emergency surgery.
What other charity can you give to where you know that 100% of your donation is being put to good use? Giving blood is one of the greatest acts of charity because you are giving away a part of yourself to help someone you don’t even know.

Who Receives My Donation?
Did you know that a cancer patient going through chemotherapy needs approximately 6-8 units of blood daily for 2-4 weeks? Think about your friends or family that have battled cancer. Without blood donors, their time would be cut short and their battle could be lost!
Did you know that an adult undergoing open heart surgery requires up to 10 units of blood? I think that most of us know someone who has undergone heart or some other form of major surgery. Imagine if there was not donated blood on hand to get them through?
When you donate blood, you can rest assured that your sacrifice is giving another person in our community the gift of life.
